Building Energy Efficiency | Supporting the Construction of the China Ship Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo

2010-07-31 Track Record

The China Ship Pavilion, located in the Puxi Expo Park of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, is designed to resemble the keel of a ship, symbolizing the resilient spirit of China’s national industry. Covering approximately 5,000 square meters, the pavilion stands as a testament to the nation’s industrial heritage and innovation.

For its construction, Wanhua’s polyurethane rigid foam spray insulation material was utilized to ensure superior thermal performance. The material’s low thermal conductivity delivers exceptional insulation, while its seamless, cavity-free application eliminates thermal bridging and enhances waterproofing. Through microporous infiltration foaming, the material bonds tightly to substrates, preventing cracks. Wanhua’s eco-friendly blowing agent avoids ozone layer depletion, and the B1-grade fire-resistant material—with inherent self-extinguishing properties and post-combustion carbonization—ensures enhanced fire safety for the pavilion.

Since its inception, Wanhua Energysav Group has actively contributed to major national projects. With robust technical expertise, high-quality core products, and long-term strategic vision, the company has demonstrated the responsibility of an enterprise in advancing critical infrastructure, reinforcing its role in China’s industrial and technological advancement.
